Abstract:

Changes in the total count. . protein content, pH and hemocyte picture of the haemolymph from the fourth instar larvae irradiated as full grown male pupae of Spodoptera littoralis with loo and 200 gray were determined. The total hemocyte count decreased by 22.% with the dose 100 Gray and by 57.4% with the dose 200 gray as compared with the con trol. The amount of haemolymph protein decreased to half at the dose 200 Gray and by 28.6% at the dose 100 Gray less than control. Gamma radiation did not affect pH. Hemocyte picture had some changes in morphological form by gamma irradiation.
