With the assumption of Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Shabaan his new position as Chief Executive Officer of the Project Management Unit (PMU) of Higher Education, the Unit adopts a new method in presenting projects. In this context, a brain storming session has been held at the headquarters of PMU on Wednesday, 27/02/2013 in the presence of representatives for PMUs and Quality Assurance Centers at universities.

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Ali Shams El Din, the President of the University; TEDx Benha University organized a conference aimed to disseminate positive thoughts which give a different look to the future, develop the scientific research in Egypt, and recycle the electronic waste. The conference was attended by Poet / Salah Abdullah, Artist / Madhu, Thinker / Yasser Fathi, Writer / Karinm El Shazly, Dr. Walid Abdul Ghaffar, Engineer / Mustafa Hamdan and Justin Weeds – the guest of the Conference from America.

During the opening of the Early Detection Unit at the Faculty of Medicine -Benha University; Prof. Dr. Adel Zayed, the governor of Qalyoubia said that the world is built on two models which are health and education referring that the University has such models confirming that the University and the Governorate one thing. He added that the University is the leader of development in the Governorate.
Prof. Dr. Ali Shams El Din, the President of the University said that the Faculty has more than twenty units and we seek to develop and support them.

The initiative of (Egyptian Open CourseWare) has been announced for faculty members of the Egyptian public universities to collect and publish the curricula taught at the Egyptian universities through the internet to enable the student to review the curricula in any time and place.

Prof. Dr. Soliman Mustafa, the University Vice-president for Education and Students’ Affairs; Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Rajeh, the General Coordinator of Student Activities; and Mrs. Sohair Eliwa, the General Manager of the General Department of Youth Care held a meeting with the vice-deans of education and students’ affairs and the managers of youth care to prepare for elections of student unions for the academic year 2012/2013 which will be held on Wednesday, 20/02/2013.

In cooperation with Banque Misr Foundation for Community Development and Welfare in addition to Qalyoubia Governorate and the Faculty of Agriculture – Benha University; the Project of Rabbits and Fodder Delivery for Breeders has been opened by Prof. Dr. Adel Zayed, the Governor of Qalyoubia – Prof. Dr. Ali Shams El Din, the President of the University – Mrs. Heba Hussein, from Banque Misr Foundation.
The opening of the Project has been attended by Prof. Dr. Gamal Ismail, the University Vice-president for Community Service and Environment Development – Prof. Dr. Soliman Mustafa, the University Vice-president for Education and Students’ Affairs – Prof. Dr. Maher Hassab El Naby, the Dean of the Faculty.
Dr. Mahmoud Iraqi, the professor of Poultry Breeding and the Manager of the Project confirmed that the Faculty seeks to activate the system of improving the animal and agricultural production pointing out that the Project aims to raise the living standards of the Egyptian village.
