| Abstract: |
ABSTRACT Traumatic fracture dislocation at the lumbosacral junction is a rare injury that requires high-energy trauma; previous cases have been reported in the literature since Watson-Jones(1) first described this injury in 1940. A literature review revealed the association between this high-energy trauma and neurologic injury. To our knowledge this is the first report on a case of closed traumatic spondylolisthesis with 100% displacement but without an associated neurologic injury. The pathoanatomy of the fracture was carefully analyzed to provide the most efficient and safe method of treatment without posing a risk of a neurologic injury.
