Abstract:

A numerical study of the heat transfer in a hydromagnetic flow of a micropolar fluid over a stretching surface with variable heat flux in presence of heat generation has been done. The governing partial differential equations are transformed into a system of ordinary differential equations using similarity variability, and then solved numerically by using shooting method. The results have been carried out for different parameters of the problem as magnetic parameter, material parameter, heat generation parameter, Prandtl parameter, velocity exponent parameter and heat flux exponent parameter and others. Also the effects of the pertinent parameters on the skin friction and local Nusselt number are obtained, discussed numerically and illustrated graphically.
