Abstract:

A total of 150 swab samples were taken for mycological examination from the surfaces of camel carcasses in Egyptian abattoirs The mean total fungal counts/cmsuperscript 2 was 1.6 x 10superscript 3, 5.2 x 10superscript 3 and 2.9 x 104 for camel carcasses slaughtered at Benha, Tukh and Moshtohor inspection districts, respectively. Representatives of 16 mould and yeast genera were isolated and identified.
