Abstract | The research study has discussed the design principles of mental health care facilities in its theoretical section. It also included the status quo of mental health care facilities as a case study in its applied section, using personal observation sheets along with the survey filled by the user groups. The study has concluded that some of the design principles are not applied, so it recommended some design principles while designing new mental health care facilities or renewing the current ones. |

Abstract | The study is divided into two main sections; in the theoretical part it discusses the design principles of oncology centers and their effect on the psychological state of the regular outpatients; it proposed some non-physical principles that were never considered. Then an applied research was conducted using observation, interviews and questionnaires; it concluded that many design principles are not being implemented affecting negatively the psychological state of outpatients. |
