Abstract:

In recent years, the problem of physical handicap attracted the attention of health Authorities all over the world. The year 1981 was considered as the international year of disabled persons (WHO, 1981). This epidemiological study is intended to get a picture of physical handicaps among the Egyptian population in relation to age, sex, education and residence during the period 1960 - 1976. In order to help the Community Health Authorities to plan a programme for prevention.
