The present study was intended t0 c0mpare the sustained vir0l0gical resp0nse (SVR) between patients with HCC with 0r whith0ut after 12 weeks and after 24 weeks 0f end 0f receiving treatment in f0rm 0f s0valdi plus ribaverin versus 0ther gr0up wh0 received s0valdi , ribaverin and interfer0n ,.
The study included 57 patient wh0 have taken the treatment f0r chr0nic hepatitis c .
The first gr0up c0nsists 0f 25 patient wh0 treated with s0faldi +ribaverin and interfer0n f0r 3 m0nths.
The sec0nd gr0up c0nsists 0f 32 patients treated with s0faldi with ribaverin f0r 6 m0nths.
The mean age in the first gr0up was 50.84±10.09 , while the mean age in the sec0nd gr0up was 54.53±9.78 and the mean age 0f all patients in the study was 52.91±10.00 .
The first gr0up c0ntains 6 patients wh0 are diabetic while the sec0nd gr0up c0ntains 14 patients wh0 are diabetic .
The first gr0up c0ntains 4 patients wh0 had hypertensi0n while the sec0nd gr0up c0ntains 8 patients wh0 had hypertensi0n .
The gen0type analysis 0f the patients sh0wed that gen0typing 0f gr0up 1 c0nsists 0f 4% gen0type 1a, 4% gen0type 1b, 4% gen0type 1a/c, 4% gen0type 3a, 4% gen0type 3b, , 44% gen0type 4a,v, 8% gen0type 4c, 12% gen0type 4c/d, 0% gen0type 4d, 12% gen0type 4h and 4% gen0type 5a . while in gr0up 2 the gen0typing were 0% gen0type 1a, 0% gen0type 1b, 0% gen0type 1a/c, 0% gen0type 3a, 0% gen0type 3b, 0%, 56.25% gen0type 4a, 15.62% gen0type 4c, 9.37% gen0type 4c/d, 3.12% gen0type 4d, 15.62% gen0type 4h and 0% gen0type 5a .
The gen0type analysis 0f the patients sh0wed that gen0typing 0f gr0up 1 c0nsists 0f 4% gen0type 1a, 4% gen0type 1b, 4% gen0type 1a/c, 4% gen0type 3a, 4% gen0type 3b, , 44% gen0type 4a,v, 8% gen0type 4c, 12% gen0type 4c/d, 0% gen0type 4d, 12% gen0type 4h and 4% gen0type 5a . while in gr0up 2 the gen0typing were 0% gen0type 1a, 0% gen0type 1b, 0% gen0type 1a/c, 0% gen0type 3a, 0% gen0type 3b, 0%, 56.25% gen0type 4a, 15.62% gen0type 4c, 9.37% gen0type 4c/d, 3.12% gen0type 4d, 15.62% gen0type 4h and 0% gen0type 5a .
Gen0type 4 in gr0up 1 sh0wed 18(90%) resp0nder and 2(10%) n0n resp0nder, while Gen0type 4 in gr0up 2 sh0wed 24(77.4%) resp0nder and 7(22.5%) n0n resp0nder.
Als0 the study sh0wed 3 cases 0f n0n resp0nder in gr0up 1 and 7 cases in gr0up 2 . there were n0 difference 0r new cases 0f p0sitive PCR after 12 weeks results 0f PCR .
