Abstract:

64 patients ( 41 males& 23 females ) aged from 19- 56 years suspected to be have real tuberculosis were selected for the research. The aim of the work to compare PCR technique, Bactec method and ordinary methods I diagnosis of renal tuberculosis. Urine samples were collected from all patients and proccedfor Z.N stain , Culture on L.J media ,Bactecandtestedby PCR . conclusion : PCR method can be used as a rapid test for diagnosis of renal tuberculosis but its results must be confirmed in suspected clinical cases.
