Abstract:

The Taguchi design has been used to optimize citrine factors affecting on specific processes. Lactobacillus paracasei ATCC 25,302 was used for cholesterol assimilation and applied the experimental factorial design to optimize cholesterol assimilation conditions. The model predicted that the optimal conditions for cholesterol assimilation were 120 lg /ml, incubation time 96 h, bile salts 0.1 %, probiotic dose 200 ll and initial pH 6.5. The cholesterol assimilation increased as the cholesterol concentration increased up to 120 lg /ml, at which the maximum cholesterol assimilation (93%). 2022 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
