Abstract:

This paper addresses the technical indicators of the growing internet threats affecting the critical infrastructure (physical and information), and the most important problems of the protection of information infrastructure in Egypt, and the importance of protecting the components of information infrastructure, which includes physical hardware and software, databases and information systems, communication systems, networks, and others, which is Targets for electronic Attacks. The paper addresses also how the electronic threats affect not only on individuals and businesses, but also on the critical infrastructure for example electricity systems, energy and water supply systems and communication networks, transportation systems, transportation and financing systems, insurance, and rescue services, emergency and health services, institutions, infrastructure, education and other.
