Abstract:

In this paper, the analysis of a PV array connected directly without an intermediate converter to a voltage-source inverter/induction motor system driving a centrifugal pump is presented. This method is based on that the VSI/induction motor system, operating at a constant air gap flux can be connected directly to the PV array by controlling the insolation level to which the PV array is subjected.
