Abstract:

In this paper a model is presented from which the transient behaviour of a group of three-phase induction motors with terminal capacitors can be obtained when started simultaneously, from a nonideal supply whose internal inductance is not neglected. The effect of the terminal capacitors on the peak values of the transient supply current and terminal voltage is investigated In this paper a model is presented from which the transient behaviour of a group of three-phase induction motors with terminal capacitors can be obtained when started simultaneously, from a nonideal supply whose internal inductance is not neglected. The effect of the terminal capacitors on the peak values of the transient supply current and terminal voltage is investigated.
