Abstract:

In this paper the analysis of a PV array connected directly, without an intermediate converter, to a voltage-source inverter / induction motor system driving a centrifugal pump is presented. This method is based on that the VSI / induction motor system, operating at a constant air gap flux, can be connected directly to the PV array by controlling the insolation level to which the PV array is subjected. Keywords: PV array, Voltage source inverter, Induction motor.
