Abstract:

This study included 11 patients attending the outpatient clinic of Neuropsychiatry benha University hospital for group therapy, its duration was 30 hours(15 sessions). The patients were evaluated before and after group therapy. The aim of this work was to study the group dynamics and the evaluation of the outcome of this therapy. The symptom checklist SCL-90 was applied for 8 patients 4 of them had shown positive changes in form of symptoms diminution and the other 4 had shown negative symptoms in form of increase in their neurotic symptoms. this may be explained by the short duration of treatment.
