Abstract:

Off road vehicles, such as agriculture tractors having very difficult ride problems. The drawbar pull is the main function of the tractor, and its effect on the tractor ride comfort is an important considerations. In this paper, the effect of different values of drawbar pull on the tractor ride comfort is studied. Furthermore, the relation between the drawbar pull and the tractor stability is considered. The results indicated that, the ride comfort of the tractor improves as the drawbar pull has been increased. The effect of different tractor parameters such as stiffness and damping coefficients of front and rear wheels on the drawbar pull are discussed.
