Abstract:

Spike length, number of grains per spike and spike yield of Mexibac .urpassed thoze of Giza 155. On the contrary plant height and straw yield of Giz.a 155 exceeded qiose of Mexibac. . There was a progressive increase in plant height, spike length, numbvr 01 grains per spike, spike yield grain and straw yield by increasing the level of nitrogen up to 40 kg. N/Feddan. . The minimum grain and straw yield was obtained by the unfertilized treatment and the maximum grain yield of Mexibac cultivar was obtained 5v 80 kg. N/Fed. Maximum straw and grain yield of Giza 155 was obtained by adding 40 lcg. of N/Fed. . The maximum plant height, grain and straw yield were obtained under the fIfth irrigation system (L. e. by irrigation at the stage 01 three leal, 6 leaf and heading stage). On the contrary1 the minimum plant height, grain ano straw yield were observed under the first irrigation System (i. e. by irrigation of the stage of the three leaf only).
