Abstract:

Operative vaginal deivery can be accompanied with many possible complications. The present study compares the silastic cup with the metal cup as regard maternal and fetal outcome. maternal outcome evaluated through efficacy and safety of the method as regard gnital trauma. Fetal outcome was evaluated by apgar score, blood pH and gas study,and fetal trauma. The study showed that silastic cup is an effective and safe method of operative vaginal delivery.
