Abstract:

Experimental data are presented on the projectile fragments emitted from non-central events of 3.7 A GeV 16O collisions with nuclear emulsion. The charges 2 ≤ Z ≤ 8 of these fragments are carefully measured and identified. Distributions of these charges are displayed and fitted by Gaussian shapes. Topology of 16O fragmentation compared with that obtained at 60A GeV 16O is reported. The production rate of Helium fragments due to 16O fragmentations is studied for energies 2-200A GeV. The dependence of Helium fragments on target components (CNO and AgBr ) is formulated. The multiplicity distributions for fragments with charge 2 ≤ Z ≤ 8 is displayed according to target components and compared with those obtained at 60A GeV 16O.
