Abstract:

The aim of the research was to develop the EFL fluency skills of Faculty of Education using the team-based blended learning strategy. The research participants were sixty first year students enrolled in the English section, Faculty of Education, Benha University. This research adopted quasi experimental design. The participants were split into two groups; 30 students as an experimental group and 30 students as a control one. The instruments of the present research were an EFL speaking fluency test and a rubric. The test was administered before the implementation of the team-based blended learning strategy to determine the level of the research participants in the EFL fluency skills. The experimental group was instructed utilizing the team-based blended learning strategy, while the control group was instructed using the regular methods. After the experimentation, the test was re-administrated on the two groups to investigate the effectiveness of the team-based blended learning strategy in developing the first-year students’ EFL fluency skills. The results revealed that the team-based blended learning strategy had a positive effect on developing the participants’ EFL fluency skills. It was suggested that the team-based blended learning strategy is useful for fostering the development of the four language skills; therefore, it ought to be applied at various educational levels to foster the general development of language learning abilities.
