Two summer field (2022 and 2023) purpose of this study were conducted to examine the consequences of
humic acid soil as addition as well as Extraradicular applying of salicylic acid (200 and 400 mgL-1), alginic acid
(250 and 500 mgL-1.) plus chitosan (250 and 500 mgL-1.) on growth performance and chlorophyll concentration
of echinacea (Echinacea purpurea L. Moench). compared with control plant (Distilled water). The findings
demonstrated that every treatment considerably enhanced different studied growth parameters and
photosynthetic pigments of echinacea plants compared with control during both seasons. In addition, the foliar
spray treatments included salicylic acid at 200 mg L-1, in addition to chitosan at 500 mg L-1. individually or in
addition to humic acid drench it significantly improved all the aforementioned growth traits, as well as pigments
involved in photosynthetic (carotenoids, chlorophyll a, b, and chl. a + b) compared with the other tretments
during both seasons. The most successful treatment in this regard was adding humic acid to the soil together
with 200 mgL-1 of salicylic acid. Generally, the foliar spraying treatments with low concentration of salicylic
acid and high concentration of chitosan in combination with humic acid as soil addition, were the best
treatments for enhancing the growth and higher photosynthesis pigments content of echinacea plants under
normal conditions. So this study recommend using it, salicylic acid (200 mgL-1-) plus chitosan (500 mgL-1.)
foliar application and humic acid to the soil at the same field conditions. |
