The Arab Council for Training Students of Arab Universities organizes the 15th Creative Students Forum which will be held under the title of (Arab Universities and Development) in the period from 15/09 to 19/03/2012 at Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University – Kingdome of Saudi Arabia. A contest has been announced between students of Benha University in the fields of (Scientific research - Technological Innovation - the Experience of Universities in Development - Artistic Creativity). The following students won the contest: Alaa Ali Ali – Ahmed Mohamed Aboul Fotouh – Ahmed Hussein Hassan (Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering at Benha).

In accordance with the new legislative amendment by issuing law No. 84 of 2012 to amend some provisions of Universities law No. 49 of 1972 by adding article 13bis “faculty members and assistants choose the academic leaders by election”; the Council of Benha University approved to postpone the academic elections until issuing new ministerial decree from the Supreme Council of Universities with the conditions and procedures of the elections.

On the proposal presented by some faculty members of the University to provide training program under the title of “laboratory safety” within programs of Faculty and Leadership Development Center; the Council of the University approved such training program.

According to article 92 of law No. 49 of 1972 about universities law; the Council of Benha University approved to grant faculty members and assistants the annual vacation after exams of 2011/2012 from 01/08/2012 to 31/08/2012 except the faculties that continue work.
