This study was carried out at the tissue culturelab. Hart. Dept. University at Maryland, U.S.A~ withDept. at Hart. Moshtohor, Zagazig University, Egypt.The objective ot this investigation was to overcomethe low germiability of the Rubus seeds by using somaticembryogenesls.Inaddition, different additives ot auxinsand promotors were used to produce balanced medium torembryogenesis. Beside, growth regulators where used withthe help of an anti-auxin(herbicide) to enhance betterproliferation.Furthermore, colchicine, 5-aminouracil, combinationof 5-aminouracil and colchicine, and griseofulvin treatmentswere applied tor induction ot mutations and variations.MeanWhile , shoot and root cuttings were used asexplants of VSPBB # 1 and CGB-l cultivars. On the otherhand, colchicine was added to the medium to increase theeffeclency ot, induction of mutations and variations.Moreover,cytological stUdies were also conducted in thisstudy.
