Prof. Dr. Ali Shams El Din, the President of Benha University stated for Sada El Balad Newspaper that a committee has been formed under the presidency of Prof. Dr. Gamal Ismail, the University Vice-president for Community Service and Environment Development to start in conducting a study for using the solar energy in lighting the University facilities.

IEEE Robotic and Automation branch in Benha University has participated in the third edition of Minesweepers competition 2014 under supervision of Dr. Ahmad Taher Azar, educational and student activities chair of IEEE RAS Egypt chapter. The founder of Minesweepers competition is Prof. Alaa Khamis, the chair and founder of IEEE RAS Egypt chapter
IEEE RAS Benha Team was able to win with five other teams in Egypt and has been qualified for final round which was held at Misr University for Science and Technology, 6th of October city, Egypt. This Minesweepers competition has been considered to be the first opportunity for the team of Benha University to participate in international competition for the robotics.

Prof. Dr. Soliman Mustafa, the University Vice-president for Education and Students' Affairs received a number of students from the University of Science and Technology, Nile University in Sudan and Philadelphia University in Jordon in the frame of cooperation protocol and student exchange with the University.
This delegation was supervised by Prof. Dr. Gamal Sousa, the General Supervisor of the University Hostels; Prof. Dr. Iman El Bitar, the Vice-dean of the Faculty of Nursing; and Prof. Dr. Khalid El Eissawy, the General Coordinator of Student Activities.
