Abstract:

Multi-Criteria Decision Making MCDM has made valuable contributions to the development of various Decision Support System subspecialties. Many real-world problems have multiple competing objectives and can often be formulated as multi-objective optimization problems. Multi-objective evolutionary algorithms (MOEAs) have proven very effective in obtaining a set of trade-off solutions for such problems. This research will discuss the Multi-objective Optimization problem related to illiteracy problem. If any nation aimed at the advancement of its future should be trying to fight against many problems including illiteracy. This paper will describe the illiteracy problem in a certain city in Egypt, and study the problem to build literate classrooms at different suitable locations according to some criteria and constraints. The problem under consideration will be formulated as a multi-objective optimization model and will be solved by using one of the MOEAs that called Strength Pareto Evolutionary Algorithm (SPEA).
