Abstract:

The research aims at identify the competitive orientation and its relation with locus of control among pentathlon players. Descriptive approach adopted as it suits research objectives and hypotheses. Research sample included 50 pentathlon players (25 male and 25 female) selected from players participated in pentathlon world cup held on March 2017. After data collection and statistical analysis, the player may conclude the following: - There is no statistically significant differences between male and female pentathlon players in competitive orientation and locus of control. - There are statistically significant differences between pentathlon players in competitive orientation and locus of control according to years of experience (less than 5 years - ≥ 5 years) towards ≥5 years - There is statistically significant correlation between competitive orientation scale aspects and total score, and locus of control scale among pentathlon players. -
