Abstract:

Mohammed Ali grabbed Syria from the Ottoman Empire during the period of [1831-1841], Within the expansionist project to establish an empire in the Arab region. There were different views on the experience of Muhammad Ali, Some of them considered it Renaissance project returned to Egypt its leading role in the region, and Some of them saw it an expansionist project sapped the country's wealth for personal purposes. But there is no one can deny that the era of Mohammed Ali was the brightest eras of Egypt in the abundance of archival material, so the sources of the Egyptian rule in Syria focused at National Archives in Cairo, which the historians was depend on it in history of that period. There are sources which contemporary events, in addition to modern sources represented in the writings of historians.
