Goals of the digital library
- Automating Benha University libraries and linking these libraries through the Egyptian Universities Network
- Building a collaborative program between the libraries helps to rationalize costs and to achieve the highest levels of benefit from available information sources in the libraries of Benha University
- Providing cooperative information services and exchanging the loan between University libraries and the libraries of other Egyptian universities
- Building a standardized index for holdings of Benha University Libraries because of its direct impact on the effectiveness and return on the cost of holdings and library services of Banha University
- Unification in measures of work between libraries by relying on scientific standards and specifications adopted in the field of libraries and information
- Developing the use of electronic information services through the Internet to search in the scientific databases and to search in the library indexes, which are mechanized
- Developing the efficiency and skills of those who working at the University to meet the needs of beneficiaries, and rapid developments in the world of information technology
