Under the auspices of Prof.Dr. EL-Sayed EL-Kady, the university president, the post-graduate studies board was held to discuss the updating of the research plan to cope up with the national projects in the light of the national strategy of sciences and technology. The meeting was head by prof.Dr. Hesham Abu-Enin, the vice president of post-graduate studies and research and it was held in the presence of prof.Dr. Maher Khalil, the university president of scientific research, the faculties' deputies of post-graduate studies and the managers of post-graduate studies bureaus.

The university launches an initiative under the auspices of Prof. Dr. el-Sayed EL-Kady, the university president to make use of the odds and reuse them in the facilities of the university in order to decrease expenditure, allay the burden on the state 's budget and protect the environment. The university president says that this initiative started in the university hostels when the odds were recycled back into usage in Tokoh.
