Mutual Protocol between Benha University and Benha National University to Establish a University Hospital in Al-Obour City

The new hospital aims to support the healthcare system and provide an advanced training environment for students of medical colleges
Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, and Prof. Gamal El-Saeed, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Benha National University, signed a mutual protocol to establish a university hospital in Al-Obour City.
This took place during the Board of Trustees meeting, attended by:
• Prof. Eng. Hossam Abdel-Fattah, Governor of Kalyobiya,
• Prof. Soheir Shaarawy, Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees,
• Prof. Tamer Samir, President of Benha National University,
• Other council members.
Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy emphasized that the establishment of the new university hospital in Al-Obour represents a strong addition to the healthcare and educational system in the governorate. He pointed out that Benha University will harness its expertise and resources to support the project, achieving integration between the two universities in the fields of medical education, healthcare, and community service.
The President of Benha University explained that the hospital will provide a developed educational and training environment for students of medicine, nursing, and health sciences, in addition to offering specialized medical services according to the latest standards, aligning with the state's directions towards developing the healthcare sector and improving the quality of services provided to citizens.
Prof. Gamal El-Saeed confirmed that the project comes within the vision of Benha National University to enhance its community role and contribute to supporting the healthcare system. He noted that the new university hospital will serve as a model for the integration of medical education, scientific research, and therapeutic services.
He added that the hospital will help meet the needs of the residents of Al-Obour City and the surrounding areas, in addition to providing advanced practical training opportunities for medical college students, supporting the preparation of qualified personnel capable of keeping pace with modern developments in the healthcare sector and achieving sustainable development goals.
