President of Benha University: Digital Transformation in Warehousing Enhances Performance Efficiency and Preserves Public Funds

Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, held a meeting with the warehouse managers and officials from various faculties and sectors of the university to follow up on the implementation of the "Bidaya" electronic system for managing warehouse operations.
The meeting was attended by :
• Mrs. Sherine Shawky, Secretary General of the University,
• Eng. Ashraf Al-Nadi, Software Officer at the Information Technology Center,
• Mr. Karim Hijazi, Director of Inventory Control and Supervisor of the University Warehouses.
Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy emphasized that the university is committed to executing its comprehensive digital transformation plan, noting that the development of the warehousing system is part of the university's efforts to modernize work processes and achieve the highest levels of efficiency, governance, and asset control.
The university president explained that the new electronic system allows for the automation of all withdrawal and addition procedures in the warehouses, standardizing databases across faculties, which ensures the accuracy of information and ease of tracking item movements. It also enhances control and monitoring systems through modern tracking methods within the warehouses.
Prof. El-Gizawy pointed out that the improvement of warehouse operations is not limited to updating electronic systems but also includes training and qualifying staff on the latest inventory management techniques, which contributes to enhancing performance, preserving assets, and maximizing the benefits of available resources.
The university president stressed the importance of adhering to the regulations governing warehouse operations as one of the fundamental pillars for safeguarding public funds. He emphasized the necessity of completing the annual inventory and generating the required reports through the new electronic system before the end of June.
