Under the patronage of Prof.Dr. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, and Prof.Dr.Gehan Abdel Hady, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, a team from the research project titled "Prevalence Rates, Diagnosis, and Molecular Characterization of Selected Blood Parasites in Horses in Egypt" conducted a scientific visit to the ANSES Institute in Normandy, France. This visit falls within the research activities and scientific exchange framework of the project, which is funded by the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology.
The visit reflects Benha University's keenness to support scientific research and enhance international cooperation with prestigious research centers, thereby contributing to the development of scientific research and elevating the academic and research standards.
The research team included:
Dr. Abdelfattah Selim, Professor of Infectious Diseases, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and the Principal Investigator of the project.
Dr. Salma Shawh, Assistant Professor of Infectious Diseases.
Mostafa Mostafa Mohamed, Assistant Lecturer of Infectious Diseases.
During the visit, Dr. Abdelfattah Selim delivered a scientific lecture on Trypanosomiasis in Horses, along with a presentation introducing Benha University and its research capabilities.
A scientific meeting was also held with Dr. Hervé Laurent, during which the research plan for the project and the progress achieved so far were discussed. The meeting also resulted in an agreement on the next research steps and ways to complete joint scientific cooperation.
